Vicar Ryan Cordle began serving Zion in November 2020 in the role of interim minister. He is a student at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN where he is completing his Masters of Divinity through the seminary’s distance program. He has previously served at St. Luke’s in Lima and at Trinity Lutheran in Convoy.
Ryan has lived in Lima for five years with his wife Noel and their three children: Silas, Clementine, and Magdalen. Prior to moving to Lima, Ryan and Noel were both English teachers at a Christian boarding school in Eastern Kentucky. Ryan also coached varsity girls’ basketball for a number of years while teaching.
Originally from Ashville, OH, Ryan graduated from Ohio Christian University in 2008 and later earned a Master’s degree in English and Writing from Western New Mexico University. He now spends too much time listening to sports radio and reading everything he can about Ohio State sports.
Ryan keeps regular office hours at the church on Mondays and Thursdays and is available at other times by appointment.
